Rob Williams

About: I have had a camera of some sorts since the age of 12 and have maintained the level of happy snapper who sometimes takes a shot that people really like. There is no better feeling that someone asking for a print of a picture (usually of them or their family) and then seeing it on a wall when you visit.

Interests: My main photographic sphere is Acrobatic Gymnastics (niche I know), but this is a result of my daughter being part of the Irish National Acrobatic Squad. In the last few years I have moved from being the Club’s informal photographer to documenting most competitors and events for the gymnasts and the club.

History: After lockdown I decided to move on from taking only gym photos as I felt I had got in a bit of a rut and joined the local camera club. Doing so showed me I know a little bit more than I thought, but defiantly have a whole lot more to learn.

What Rob has to say: While it is a little daunting to submit an image for people to critique, it is a very positive experience and rarely as bad as you think it is going to be!
